This Code is one of the "European Codes of Conduct for ICT, a European Action to Improve the Energy Efficiency TE Connectivity are a Data Centre Code of Conduct of Information and Communication Technologies". It sets out to improve efficiencies and promote Best Practices within Data Centers. TE's "Endorser" status has been granted by the EUROPEAN COMMISSION, DIRECTORATE-GENERAL JRC, JOINT RESEARCH CENTRE, Institute for Energy, Renewable Energy Unit. As part of our "Endorser" status TE is expected, by the commission, to promote & disseminate information regarding the code and support the Code's Participants in putting the guidelines and recommendations into practice.

Danish Company EnergiMidt turns up the power in their new Data Center

EnergiMidt A/S are one of the new breed of companies, providing an increasing range of services in addition to being an energy provider.
With 176,000 electricity customers, energy remains their core business, but they already have 20,000 broadband customers and are establishing a fiber broadband network so that the communication and entertainment markets will also be open to them.

EnergiMidt’s data center no longer had the capacity required by the growing company, but also its role was planned to expand: a new development was the decision to also provide hosting, both supporting existing customers and also to support IP telephony.

This meant that EnergiMidt required a facility that would not only be efficient and suit all their various business needs, but would also be a technically advanced and aesthetically pleasing environment to show their new clients. The technical requirements were that the data centers should provide for internal IT, broadband, IPTV, IP Tele-services and also Intelligent Building Control (IBC).

“I’m proud to be able to show one of Denmark’s best looking data centres. And I can rely on everything working, which is so important in a data centre." Stig Rune Nielsen, Manager of Data Centre and Fibre Installations for EnergiMidt
